The Baratza Sette 270W introduces a ground-breaking new grinding technology. This new apparatus has the outer burr rotating while the inner burr remains fixed, a truly cutting-edge design. The structure of this apparatus makes the machine twice as efficient of similar size grinders. Beans pass straight through the grinder vertically, and drop directly into your portafilter.

Using the Acaia weighing technology, this revolutionary grinder provides precision weight based dosing, with the amazing ability to grind by weight directly into your portafilter. This is first time this has been available for the home espresso fan! Additionally, the 270WW is outfitted with Bluetooth capabilities which allow users to log, track and monitor grind sessions, settings and weights.

GEAR BOX

Due to its planetary gear box and its proprietary crown gear drive system, the Baratza Sette is able to accomplish a 19:1 speed reduction.

BURRS

The Sette’s 40mm conical burrs are manufactured in Liechtenstein, and are able grind beans at 3.5g-5.5 g per second (depending on the adjustment). These burrs provide an incredibly uniform grind, with a noticeable lack of fines across its range. The conical burrs are heavy-duty and will certainly remain sharp for years to come. The apparatus provides for accurate burr alignment which ensures precision grinding.

DIGITAL CONTROL PANEL

The user-friendly backlit LED control panel is mounted on the front of the grinder. There are 3 programmable buttons which allow you to adjust grind time within 0.1 second. For precise dosing, just press the start button. The Sette does the rest.

GRIND ADJUSTMENT

The Baratza Sette 270W  has a macro adjustment of 30 steps, which grind efficiently fine to course. It also has a stepless micro adjustment with nine indicators, which allow the user to precisely dial in a perfect grind.  The macro and micro mechanism is connected directly to the cone burr which results in instantaneous and true grind adjustment.

CONVERTIBLE DEVICE HOLDER

A convertible holder, which is built in, will allow you to grind directly into a portafilter, the grounds bin (provided), or almost any popular brewing device (Clever, Hario, Aeropress, Able Kone, etc.) – this sets the Sette apart from any other home grinder on the market. The Baratza Sette’s grounds bin is built out of an anti-static plastic, and has a moulded spout for pouring into your favorite brewing device. The portaholder can will fit any size of portafilter & includes an integrated hook for added stability.

HOPPER

The Sette’s hopper accommodates roughly 300-400g of coffee beans. An ingenious bean shutoff in the collar ensures no mess, and is easy to use when removing or changing beans.

MINIMAL RETENTION

To ensure the most fresh coffee possible, the Baratza Sette 270W keeps coffee grounds left in the grinder to an absolute minimum.
